The Art of Designing My Candle Collection

When I sit down to design a new candle collection, it feels a little like storytelling—each scent, color, and detail is a chapter in the story I want to share. For me, candles aren’t just products; they’re moments, memories, and moods poured into wax.

Inspiration Strikes Everywhere
Every collection starts with a spark of inspiration. Sometimes, it’s a season—like the crispness of autumn leaves or the warmth of summer sunsets. Other times, it’s an emotion or a cherished memory, like the comforting embrace of a loved one or the soothing stillness of a rainy day. I keep a notebook (or a notes app) where I jot down ideas as they come. You’d be surprised how a simple cup of coffee or a walk in the park can ignite a creative fire!

Scent as the Heartbeat
Scent is where the magic begins. I play with fragrance oils like a painter with a palette, layering and tweaking until it feels just right. It’s not just about what smells good—it’s about evoking something deeper. I want you to close your eyes, breathe it in, and be transported. That’s when I know a scent belongs in the collection.

Colors, Containers, and Character
Next comes the visual part. I think of the colors and containers as the outfit my candle wears—something that tells you what it’s about before you even light it. A deep emerald jar might whisper luxury, while a matte white tin feels clean and minimal. Each choice is deliberate, down to the texture of the label and the weight of the lid.

The Testing (and Re-Testing) Phase
Not every idea makes the cut. I hand-pour small batches, test burns, and tweak the formulas obsessively. I imagine the candles in your space, flickering on a quiet evening or glowing during a celebration. They need to feel just right—not just for me, but for you.

Why It’s All Worth It
When you light one of my candles, I hope it becomes more than just a flickering flame. I hope it becomes part of your story—a companion in the little rituals that make life beautiful.

Designing each collection is deeply personal, and sharing it with you is one of my favorite parts of this journey.

Do you have a favorite scent or memory you’d love to see turned into a candle? Let me know in the comments—I’d love to hear your ideas!
